The Las Vegas Convention Center Expansion Project is a major expansion and renovation of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The purpose is to accommodate current customer needs and capture future trade show opportunities. The approved plan for the Phase Two Expansion and Phase Three Renovation can be found at.
Cordell Corporation NV, LLC is managing the project as the LVCVA’s Owner Representative. When all Phases are completed the Las Vegas Convention Center will stretch from Sierra Vista Drive (Development Site) and Las Vegas Blvd with a people mover (LOOP) to transport people from the Station on Sierra Vista Drive and Swenson Street to the Station at Las Vegas Blvd and Evils Presley Blvd. Currently negotiations are underway with the Boring Company.

Phase II Under Construction

The $935 million, Phase Two expansion will add 1.4 million square feet including 600,000 square feet of new, leasable exhibit space, an out door plaza, and a grand atrium. The Phase Two expansion is slated for completion in time to welcome CES in 2012

Phase III

Phase Three includes renovating the existing 3.2 million square foot facility and incorporating the same dynamic design as the facility expansion (Phase Two). The complete renovation has a projected completition date of 2023 and ensures that no business will be displaced during the construction and renovation.

Economic and Community Impact

The LVCC Project will have a 2.1 Billion Construction Impact and is expected to support 14,000 construction jobs and 7,800 Permanent jobs upon competition. 2.1 Billion will be generated in economic activity during construction and have an annual incremental economic impact of $810 Million while attracting over 600,000 new visitors each year.
