The Las Vegas Convention Center has awarded the Boring Company a $48.7 million contract for a project to shuttle people in an underground loop system around the 200-acre Las Vegas Convention Center. The People Mover will move a minimum of 4,400 people per hour Construction will start immediately with completion prior to the January 2021 CES show The significance of this project for the development sites is that it provides a fast transportation corridor to Las Vegas Blvd and the new mega venues Resorts World and Drew as well as the Las Vegas Convention Center. The South Hall Terminal is a 5-10 walk from the Development Sites While the project is limited for now, the project could someday connect downtown, the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Las Vegas Boulevard Resort Corridor and McCarran International Airport.
